Thanks to it’s design, this garden tractor has a very low minimum turning radius of just 0.46 m (18 inches). This transmission gives the JD L100 a top speed of 10.3 kph (6.4 mph) while it can reach 3.7 kph (2.3 mph) when it’s reversing. ![]() This engine feeds power into a transmission box that gives the John Deere L100 5 gears when it’s traveling forward and just 1 when it’s reversing. Larger models in the L100 series include the John Deere L110 lawnmower, the John Deere L120 lawn mower and the John Deere L130. This engine has a oil pan that needs to be filled with 1.4 liters of oil to keep it properly lubricated at all times. This 1 cylinder engine has a 0.5 liters in size and uses both a paper and foam based air filter to clean the air intake. The 4×2 2WD chassis houses a 17 horsepower Briggs and Stratton gasoline engine. All production of this model took place in JD’s assembly plant in Horicon, Wisconsin. ![]() It was built and produced by JD for just 2 years from 2003 until 2005.
